deLIGHT

This song encourages us that His delight over us is what will bring light into our dark moments. It reminds us that we are His children and the apple of His eye.

As I listened to the song, I envisioned a grain of wheat and was immediately reminded of the parable of the wheat. In the vision, my focus shifted, and I saw a pure, glistening white flower with many petals, resembling a chrysanthemum, resting atop the grain. I sensed that the grain represents parts of our lives we need to surrender and let die, while the flower symbolizes the sweet aroma that arises from our sacrifices—our prayers, relinquished desires, disappointments, and the areas we cling to.

As we allow the 'grain' within us to be emptied—to 'die to' and let go of the things we are holding onto—those things that may hinder or prevent us from fully trusting Him, this surrender becomes a fragrant aroma to the Lord, the loyalty, devotion, and trust we place in Him through this process are greatly pleasing to Him. By relying on Him and investing our trust in His faithfulness, He is able to multiply what He intends to accomplish in our lives, within us, and in our circumstances. He will faithfully lead us to the place He has promised.

John 12:24-26 (NASB1995):
"Truly, truly, I say to you, unless a grain of wheat falls into the earth and dies, it remains alone; but if it dies, it bears much fruit. He who loves his life loses it, and he who hates his life in this world will keep it to life eternal."

Isaiah 55:11 (NASB):
"So will My word be which goes out of My mouth; It will not return to Me empty, Without accomplishing what I desire, And without succeeding in the purpose for which I sent it."

  • I am a child of Christ
I've been given a sound mind
    And a full, full life
    Nothing missing, nothing lacking
    I have His mind

I am the apple of his eye
    Hidden now in Christ
    And I am His delight
He's ravished by the sight of my heart
    I'm one with Him

    It's only by His blood
    It's only by His love
That I have every spiritual blessing

    It's only by His blood
    It's only by His love
That I have every spiritual blessing

    And I lack nothing
    I am whole, I'm complete
    It's everything I ever need

    I am made to be
    All He's ever dreamed
    I'm made for Him
And only His delight in me
    His delight in me

    I was made for Him
The only One that my heart will beat
Every breath that I breathe is His

    My whole is His
    My whole is His

All I need

Pondering on vision for the new year led Chara to the question, "Lord, who are You to me?" There is a beginning for everything that we are - our being, our experiences, our relationships. In Psalms 139, David writes about God knowing us 'perfectly'. He knew us and conceived us in His thought, even before we came to be.

As we allow God to lead us on this journey, Psalms 23 comes to mind. It speaks about God's faithful leading, His protection - until we overcome and are victorious.

May this heartfelt prayer take us back to the beginning with the Father - all He is to us, all we need, in all we do.

I saw the vision of a heart with vines around it as I listened to the song. As I looked on, facets began to form over the heart, like those of a diamond. Beneath it, I saw a shell, while the heart floated above it. A door then emerged from the heart, and in the background, it was day on the left and evening on the right.

I sense that this represents hearts that have been holding on to the Lord through every season, especially the difficult ones—being tossed about in the raging seas of life. The Lord knows every facet of our hearts, forming and shaping our faith in Him. We are not merely existing but being led by Him, even when we do not see it clearly. This vision serves as an assurance that staying connected to Him will nourish your spirit and heart. It is a reminder that you are a part of Him and within His plans, giving you strength to face challenges, knowing that you are never alone. The longer you cling to Him, the more His presence transforms and strengthens you.

I sense that the background illustrates the changing seasons of life, serving as a reminder that through every moment—whether in the brightness of day or the fading light of evening—the Lord watches over you with great interest and delight. His love endures forever. Be of good cheer, for He has overcome, and He will always be with you, never forsaking you.

I also feel that the shell signifies how your life has been hidden, yet shaped by the many irritants allowed to enter it. These difficulties were not without purpose—they were designed to mold you, forming something of eternal value, something precious to the Lord.

Additionally, I sense the emotions of a father as he watches his child's heart—nothing is hidden from him. He cherishes the moment, witnessing and cheering the child on through every season.

  • Be Thou my vision, Lord of my heart
Be Thou my shelter, be my strong tower
Be Thou my wisdom, and never depart from me
    I will run to You

Lord You know my thoughts, You've written my days
You have taught my heart to walk in Your ways
So I look to You, the Author of my faith
My soul finds rest in You, I delight in Your embrace

Be Thou my shepherd, I shall not want
Be Thou my comfort, light in the dark
Be Thou my Father, in You my heart's complete
    I will run to You

Lord You've searched my heart and known me by name
You have filled my cup and taken my pain
So I look to You, the anchor of my faith
    I'll abide in You

Lord, You've searched my heart and known me by name
You have filled my cup and taken my pain
So I look to You, the anchor of my faith
I'll abide in You, cause I know You are all I need

    You are all I need
    You are all I need

Five Loaves and Two Fishes

This song is a prophetic declaration that we will see God’s miraculous provision when we surrender our needs and what we have to Him.

Believing that we will be seeing God’s miraculous provision in many of us and it will not be through human wisdom or hardwork, but a clear miracle and blessing from God. And our faith in His provision will be impact the generations to come, giving them a reason to give glory to God, just like the story of the Five loaves and two fishes in the Bible. Faith and surrender is what we need to do to have that miracle.

What you have is more than enough for Him to use. From the beginning it has already been enough. You are enough. Your everything is made perfect to be used by Him. Stop a moment and look at what you have and carry. It is enough. Don’t look to the left or the right, He only needs what you have to give.

“but God has chosen the foolish things of the world to shame the wise, and God has chosen the weak things of the world to shame the things which are strong, and the base things of the world and the despised God has chosen, the things that are not, so that He may nullify the things that are, so that no man may boast before God.”

1 Corinthians 1:27-29 NASB1995

“My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.” Therefore I will boast all the more gladly about my weaknesses, so that Christ’s power may rest on me. That is why, for Christ’s sake, I delight in weaknesses, in insults, in hardships, in persecutions, in difficulties. For when I am weak, then I am strong. - 2 Corinthians 12:9-10

But you are a chosen people, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, God’s special possession, that you may declare the praises of him who called you out of darkness into his wonderful light. - 1 Peter 2:9

  • With five loaves and two fishes
    I'll see miraculous provision
I'll give it all to live a life of faith
    In my provider

You'll never leave your people wanting
You'll never leave your people hungry
When I fall on my knees
    I'll be at ease

Cause you're faithful when destiny is released
With five loaves and two fishes
    I'll see miraculous provision
I'll give it all to live a life of faith

You have given more than we ask
More than we could ever imagine
    More than we ask
More than we could ever imagine

    Throughout all generations
    Forever and ever
    Throughout all generations
    To God be the glory

    Throughout all generations
    Forever and ever
    Throughout all generations
    To God be the glory

With five loaves and two fishes
    I'll see miraculous provision
I'll give it all to live a life of faith
    In my provider

I'll give it all to live a life of faith
    In my provider
